Washing my makeup brushes is my least favourite task. The hassle of washing them one by one to even the thought of letting them air dry for 24hours is a bother. Washing makeup brushes is an essential task to do regularly as the bacteria from makeup builds up in your brush.
When the Stylpro hit the shelves and was all everyone wanted to hear about in the beauty industry. The vision of not spending hours on end washing all makeup brushes and in a couple of seconds your brush could be washed AND dried.
Hailed all over the internet without a bad review in sight. I decided to give it a go for myself and see what I really thought of it. The set comes with a glass bowl with a silicone lid. A makeup brush cleaner and 8 different size nozzles to put your brush into.
My thoughts on the product:
The tool, in theory, is brilliant, from filth to fresh in about 30 seconds. The more brushes you wash, the dirtier the solution gets which on a personal level is fine. However, I wonder how hygienic the product really is. Speaking from a professional level, is dipping loads of brushes used on different clients in same solution water is really killing off the bacteria? Surely would need a once over in the sink to ensure the brush is really clean?
I also wondered were my brushes going to be ruined from being flattened out at such a speed. You do need to mould them back into shape after you use the product. Which might get rid of the lifespan of the product, I suppose only time will tell on this one.
For myself, I really liked the product, I think it could get me out of a rut where I just completely forget to wash them and I have somewhere to be. And for the likes of makeup artists, I can see it being quite beneficial for them to dry their brushes quickly. Even with the negative thoughts I had. I did think it was a great product.
