I am loving this new embroidery trend rocking the shelves at the moment, the handmade badges, the embellished shirts & jeans. It’s something different and brings a new life to basic clothing items! I bought this shirt in Zara for €39.95. It’s a blue and white shirt with 3/4 length sleeves. It has embroidered detail along the front and the back, along with a lapel collar and front breast pocket. I was instantly drawn to this shirt. It has a really nice cut out feature along the side. It’s something different to what I would normally go for, but if I like it why not try it!
The jeans are from the “Jamie” line at Topshop in the colour “Indigo”. Whenever I buy a skinny denim jean, I always go for the super-stretchy cotton style. When a pair of jeans will be on my skin all day, I want them to be comfy. I find these & the Molly jean from River Island have a really soft denim feel. This type are a high-waisted fit. I love a dark denim jean and generally find them more versatile with the potential to wear them with many different types of colours in comparison to lighter denim. This shirt would go with any shade of denim, including white.
I bought these leather mule loafers in Zara. I basically just wanted a pair of gucci dupes and I couldn’t find a pair with a gold buckle, but I really liked this when I sourced them. They’re made of 100% leather so I knew they’d last for quite some time. They’re perfect for going out to lunch or even wearing in the office. They can be worn with just about any trouser/dress or skirt. I definitely think they’re a great investment piece. (until I get the real pair…one day) I accessorized this outfit with my “Jet Set Travel” bag from Michael Kors and my sunglasses from the Marbella Markets. I bought the choker necklace from New Look.
